I’m jumping in here today to share some of my favourite ‘spring’ time photos!
Do you love spring? I’m not sure I love spring so much for spring itself, but because it means summer is coming. But when those leaves unfurl and the flowers bloom on the trees, and the first summer-dress days arrive, and the birds start to chirp, I do get pretty giddy!
I start to imagine all the freedom warm weather brings as well as the opportunities to play and create memories amongst nature. It also signals the start of family portrait season, which gets me pretty excited too!
In springtime portrait sessions we worry less about being cold and having red, runny noses! We don’t need scarves and big-collared jackets that threaten to hide faces and smiles. We have the biggest variety of clothing to choose from – we can choose from both long-, short- and no-sleeve tops as well as skirts and dresses without worrying about chilly temperatures!
Spring is often associated with new beginnings, renewal, and growth. The changing of the seasons from winter to spring represents a fresh start and a time to reflect on what's important. What feels important in your life this spring? Does it change every year? Does it bring optimism?
